Update History of Downloadables

Monday, April 4, 2005

Starting now, you can view the - generated - update history of all .NET-related download items, back to May 2004. The page is located under and linked from the downloads page.

Everything is grouped by publication date. For each change, the project and the type of change (Bug, Consolidation, Feature) is given, along with a - short, indeed - synopsis.

The synopsis might read "project: mru" or "type nick names in assembly browser", which even I will have trouble remembering what it stands for. You and I have more luck it the synopsis consists of a class name, or a class-qualified method or property name: this means a new class or method is available.

You see, Gregor-style project management kind of sucks. But this fact is nothing but an opportunity for me to state, with a straight face - I don't have a webcam anyway - that improving the development process is itself an iterative process.
