Short Updates Note
Tuesday, October 4, 2005
Today, just for the record, a few notes on recent updates:
Project Updates
Various things, bulleted list, bad style:
- The text generation services (Gregor.Core.CTextGenerator and friends) are slowly becoming more stable. More on this in a post next week.
- WebEdit.NET has a new feature called "Complex Templates", which is for creating multiple documents based on the new text generation features. All that's needed is a path information file, that supplies an object graph (for example, consisting of .NET meta data for code generation) with links to the relevant templates.
- There's a new member of the File Tools collection (available at the Downloads page) called DocumentAssembly. Using the new text generation features, it creates HTML pages from .NET assembly meta data.
- In UICore, have a look at the XChooser control and its helper classes. The control consists of a text box and a "browse" button, which invokes a helper. Helpers exist for file and folder browsing.
Site News
Created with the DocumentAssembly tool, there is now some minimalistic, infrequently updated Gregor.NET Framework API documention available.
Finally, in a bleeding-edge work-in-progress, I've started to acquaint myself with Orcas.
